Unlock the power of simulations

Simulations offer a dynamic approach providing a unique blend of experiential learning and practical application.

At the core of simulations lies the ability to practice both specialist technical skills and address crucial human factors. Whether it's mastering complex procedures or understanding nuanced social interactions, simulations offer a safe and controlled environment for learners to explore and refine their capabilities.

What are simulations?

Simulations are dynamic learning tools that replicate real-world scenarios in a controlled environment, allowing learners to engage with tasks and challenges in a safe and immersive manner. Here are three key areas that define simulations:

  • Simulations recreate authentic situations that learners are likely to encounter in their field of study or profession. Whether it's a medical emergency, a business negotiation, or a mechanical failure, simulations provide a realistic backdrop for learners to apply their knowledge and skills.

  • Simulations encourage active participation and engagement from learners. Through hands-on interaction, learners can make decisions, solve problems, and experience the consequences of their actions in real-time.

  • Simulations facilitate experiential learning by allowing learners to learn through practice skills rather than listen to theory alone. By engaging with realistic scenarios and receiving immediate feedback, learners can develop practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and decision-making prowess in a risk-free setting.

By leveraging these key attributes, simulations offer a powerful and effective approach to learning that bridges the gap between theory and practice, enhancing retention, comprehension, and skill mastery.

Our simulations are revolutionising skill development

Muscle Memory
Mastery

Simulations excel at building 'muscle memory,' honing skills through repetitive practice, for both cognitive and physical skills.

Simulate Safely

Virtual Reality (VR) elevates simulations, offering immersive experiences for diverse learning, from historic exploration to high-stakes procedures.

Scale and adapt

Adaptable for remote or face-to-face settings, fostering proficiency and confidence by blending cognitive and physical skills.

The impact of simulation in blended learning

Mars embarked on a three-year Integrated Value Creation Plan (IVCP). Central to this plan was "Value Creation," a groundbreaking simulation developed in collaboration with us. This simulation, blending serious games, eLearning, and virtual instructor-led training, delivers a tangible impact.

Participants unanimously attest to its effectiveness in enhancing communication, measurement, and support for value creation initiatives. What sets "Value Creation" apart is its dynamic nature; each playthrough offers unique outcomes, fostering continuous improvement and driving innovation throughout Mars.

Engaging staff and developing new skills

M&B, the UK’s top hospitality chain, needed a flexible solution to train bar and restaurant managers in financial management, specifically in P&L.
We worked together to develop "Profitability," a simulation immersing managers in realistic scenarios. This innovative approach transformed P&L training into an engaging experience.
